Oregano Leaves

Oregano is much appreciated in tomato sauces and goes well with basil, thyme, both essential elements in provençal cooking.

Less widely-used infrance than marjoram, oregano has the same culinary and medicinal uses and the two plants are often mixed up.

Origano like marjoram or thyme has antiseptic properties. Like them but less systematically it is used in infusion to cure cold, flu or to stimulate digestion.

Oregano is proposed here in leaves in a handy air-tight jar.
