Pastis (from the Provençal Occitan pastis meaning paté or mixture) is the name given to anis-flavoured alcoholic drinks. This Pastis will be the pastaga , the jaune or flai according to today's Provençal lexicon.

Made at Solliès-Pont under the sun of the Midi this red-coloured pastis is consumed with cold water and ice-cubes. An excellent idea for a gift from Provence. This grenadine Pastis is unsweetened.
